The TURBOSTART Hydrodynamic Coupling is a power transmission component designed for the gradual start-up of high-inertia machines driven by asynchronous electric motors or diesel engines. Consisting of two impellers with symmetrical blading (pump and turbine), it transmits torque through oil circulation, eliminating any rigid mechanical connection between the motor and the driven machine.
The Turbostart hydrodynamic coupling ensures:
Available versions: in-line (L/S, L/MU, L/E), pulley-mounted (PF, PT, PI, PC) and with flanges for gear couplings (CF). All versions can be equipped with the R partial draining device for even smoother control of start-up torque.
Suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Power range: from 0.37 to 1,470 kW
